Back to the Lake!

Oh absolutely...back to the lake and this time we are bringing the Sea Doo's!! I'm pumped. I remember the first time I rode one...we were in Long Beach Island, NJ on the bay side near the big bridge that connected to the island. Emily, Molly, Tim and I ripped and roared on those things as long as we could. The water was cold and my brother kept tryin to throw people off, but it was worth it!

I'm loving life. I paid my first car payment yesterday...I know those two sentences don't really go together but I loved it, because my Jeep has made me smile so much. I was driving the other night and had the top down and just got to look up and see a storm rolling in right over my head...the wind in my hair and the sun shining down on me every day in the Texas heat is great. I'm sure I'll hate the payments sometimes, but it feels cool to be a little more grown up every day.

Last night was a lot of fun. Rowdy and I went to Lake Kickapoo to pick up the sea doos. I didn't do much other than direct him toward the hitch...wasn't that great at that either haha. But I just like being in his company. We talked most of the way there and back. Then I watched him work wonders and get them starting. Then I finally helped and washed off the dust and dirt off the "doos" as I call them. Then we just sat under the car port with the PERFECT evening weather and talked and talked. It was really nice and relaxing. I kinda like the guy;)

Anyways (nacho voice)....back to the lake...I'm excited to go fishing again too!! I got a year fishing license last time, so I'm set!...well I need to get a tackle box and all that jazz....wonder if pops and grams still have my orange one from when I was little. I'll catch you guys a big one and post again when I get back! Going to get some more rays of sun!!!

FORWARD

My creative juices are following and summer weather has started to show itself and so Katie's getting excited...this post will be about the things I'm looking foward to most!!

1. The Rents are Coming the Rents are Coming!

No they're not bad like the British, but we are sounding the alarm in getting things ship shape before their arrival. I'm excited to see them and have them witness one of my greatest accomplishments...graduation...which brings us to our next item...

2. Conflatulations

When I was little and they called us the class of 2009, my eyes got big and I thought to myself...."I'll never make it there! That's such a big number!" But now, here it is, 2009 and I'm a week away from graduating from college. It's gonna be a long day, but a good one.

3. Mac-Tastic

I have been without a computer for months. The rents are kind enough to get me a new mac book for graduation! Come to think of it...when I graduated high school I got my first one. Me and my new friend will have fun online shopping together...oh wait...gotta save money!

4. New Boots for My Ride

Refer to the blog title picture and you'll see what I'll be learning to do this fall. These boots are my first gift and hunting attire. BUT I will wear them with regular clothes too because that's how I roll and that's why I'm different.

5. Got the Schlitts

Rowdy and I plan on making a weekend trip down to New Braunfels and have fun at Schlitterbahn Waterpark....maybe we will float the river too...

6. "The Lupe"

Nothing is more fun than floating the river with friends and a cold one on a warm summer day.

7. Steve Erwin Adventures

A summer with my jeep...the top down and wind through my hair. When I was driving it down the road today I got a big smile on my face and loved my new ride more than ever. I went mudding in it Thursday and got it stucl. Adventure #2 was a blast (Adventure #1-Lake Kickapoo). I will add little things to it a bit at a time.

8. Play Ball

Texas Rangers games are a must in the summer and fall. Rowdy, Thomas, Andrea and I will take a weekend to visit the ballpark, enjoy the food, game, and Six Flags.

9. Big "Skies the Limit"

My graduation trip will be fly fishing with my mom and grandpa in the beautiful state of Montana. I'm excited to relax and learn something new, Plus, spend time with people I care about.

10. Bambi Watch Out

Yeah...on my "100 Things I Want to do Before I Die" List, it's to kill a deer. Let's make us happen.

*NOTE- Richie Bates has two phrases on this page that I need to give him credit for...I thought about him when I was writing them...so don't think I took them as my own:)
"conflatulations" and "new boots for my ride"...a rap rich loves to sing.

Great Weekend

Well, this whole not having a computer this is cramping my style. I can't upload pictures or listen to music or surf the web or even work on homework at home. It hasn't stopped me from having fun but I wish I could share my pics of the times I have. So, these images are not my own, but its what I gotta work with until graduation.

This weekend Rowdy and I took the new jeep down to Lake Kickapoo where we rode with the top off and chased the storm on some gravel roads. The lake water was really low and there was a fog and haze the whole weekend and some mist in the morning, but it was great. We fished, I played with the dogs throwing them big sticks in the water and we played some spades and poker. We are serious about our game of spades. Into the wee hours of the night, we busted out some great games...i feel asleep at the table after I lost poker haha.

Some friends joined us and we ended up hanging out with them all weekend. We golfed and had brisket tacos on Sunday.

Many things were confirmed this weekend... 1. I love my Jeep, 2. Rowdy is great, 3. I'm gaining some happy pounds, 4. I've done more fun things in 3 months than I did in a year and a half with Fatty Boom, 5. I'm a different, better person, 6. I love R Dogs family and I think they like me:), 7. I listen to country and kinda like it, 8. I play a mean card game, 9. I feel free, 10. I love my life
